Ruh manusia setelah kematian akan berbentuk hewan atau berada pada alam barzakh?

3. Dalam al-Quran disebutkan manusia setelah kematian mengalami perpindahan. Perpindahan di sini maksudnya dari mana ke mana? Dan berada pada zaman apa?
Jawaban Global
Perpindahan ruh manusia pasca kematian yang berada dalam kondisi manusia lainnya atau hewan dan lain sebagainya adalah kepercayaan terhadap reinkarnasi. Reinkarnasi adalah sebuah kepercayaan yang batil dan tertolak dalam Islam. Ruh manusia setelah terpisah dari badan di dunia, akan mendiami badan mitsali di alam barzakh dan hingga permulaan kiamat ia akan menjalani kehidupan di alam barzakh.

Alam barzakh yang terkadang disebut sebagai alam kubur dan alam arwah.  Alam barzakh adalah sebuah alam antara dunia dan akhirat. Dalil adanya alam seperti ini dapat ditemukan pada ayat-ayat al-Quran dan beberapa riwayat.

Jawaban Detil:
  1. Nasib manusia setelah kematian adalah sebuah masalah yang senantiasa menyita pikiran manusia dan memotivasinya untuk mencari tahu serta menemukan jawaban yang memuaskan dan argumentatif atas persoalan ini. Di antara sejumlah elaborasi dan penafsiran tentang kematian dan perpindahan ruh kita berhadapan dengan sebuah penafsiran yang terkenal sebagai teori reinkarnasi. Dalam teori reinkarnasi ini yang mengemuka adalah terputusnya hubungan ruh dari badan dan terikatnya ruh dalam bentuk manusia lainnya atau hewan atau makhluk lainnya. Keyakinan semacam ini semenjak masa lalu tersebar semenjak masa lalu pada sebagian belahan dunia. Sebagian filosof India dan Yunani meyakini bahwa ruh manusia setelah keluar dari bentuk pertamanya akan masuk pada bentuk lainnya yang sesuai dengan perilaku dan perangai orang tersebut. Pandangan ini memiliki pendukung dan proponen di pelbagai belahan dunia. Dalam dunia Islam, sebagian filosof dan teolog serta pelbagai aliran lainnya mengikut teori ini. Pada wilayah-wilayah terbatas dunia Arab khususnya Suriah dan Libanon Daruzi (firkah cabang Ismailiyah) dalam amal perbuatannya meyakini teori reinkarnasi.   
Reinkarnasi memiliki tipologi common dengan firkah-firkah Ghulat sepanjang sejarah. Para pemimpin firkah-firkah ekstrem ini melalui pandangan terhadap reinkarnasi yang dianut mereka memperkenalkan diri mereka sebagai imam, nabi dan bahkan Tuhan kepada para pengikutnya.

Orang-orang yang meyakini konsep reinkarnasi terbagai menjadi lima bagian:
1. Nasukhiyah yang meyakini bahwa manusia setelah kematian maka ruhnya akan mengikut sebuah badan, apabila ia merupakan manusia budiman maka ruhnya akan mengikut badan orang-orang budiman dan apabila ruhnya adalah ruh jahat maka ruhnya akan mengikut badan orang-orang jahat dan ahli maksiat. 
2. Masukhiyyah yang meyakini bahwa ruh manusia setelah kematian apabila ruhnya berasal dari orang-orang budiman maka ruhnya akan mengikut hewan-hewan baik seperti Bulbul, Merpati dan lain sebagainya. Namun apabila ruhnya jahat maka ruhnya akan mengikut pada hewan-hewan buruk seperti anjing, babi dan semisalnya. 
3. Fasukhiyyah yang berpandangan bahwa ruh manusia setelah kematian akan berpindah pada tumbuh-tumbuhan yang baik seperti bunga-bunga, buah-buah atau tumbuhan-tumbuhan pahit dan busuk seperti timun pahit dan semisalnya berdasarkan kebaikan dan keburukan yang dilakukan. 
4. Rasukhiyyah yang meyakini bahwa ruh manusia setelah kematian mengikut jamadat dan jiwa-jiwa baik. Ruh baik dalam keyakinan ini mengikut batu-batuan yang berharga seperti batu-batu permata. Adapun jiwa-jiwa buruk akan mengikut batu-batuan yang buruk.
5. Kelompok lainnya dari reinkarnasi (tanasukh) adalah orang-orang yang meyakini bahwa ruh manusia pada mulanya mengikut jamadat kemudian tumbuh-tumbuhan dan setelah itu hewan dan kemudian manusia.[1]
Perpindahan ini menurut para penyokong teori reinkarnasi senantiasa berlanjut dan tidak berujung. Pada hakikatnya surga dan neraka manusia dalam teori ini adalah perpindahan badan-badan baik atau buruk lainnya yang menjadi ganjaran atau balasan yang diperoleh. Rotasi ruh pada badan-badan sedemikian berlanjut sehingga ruh mengalami penyulingan dan beranjak naik ke langit-langit sehingga menjelma dalam bentuk malaikat dan termasuk bagian dari malaikat.[2]

Dalam sebuah hadis panjang dari Imam Shadiq yang bersabda, “Orang-orang yang meyakini reinkarnasi telah meninggalkan jalan dan metode agama dan menghiasi dirinya dengan kesesatan serta menjerumuskan dirinya pada liang syahwat…tidak ada surga dan tidak ada neraka. Tidak ada orang-orang yang dibangkitkan dan tidak ada hari ketika manusia dikumpulkan … dan kiamat bagi mereka adalah keluarnya ruh dari bentuknya (yang semula) dan masuk ke bentuk yang lain.[3]

Dalam pandangan Islam kematian adalah titik akhir kehidupan duniawi dan perpisahan ruh dari badan materi. Pada masa ini ruh dengan mengikut bentuk mitsali mengawali kehidupannya pada alam barzakh.
Jasmani dan badan mitsali mirip dengan jasmani materi namun tidak memiliki tipologi badan materi. Imam Shadiq As bersabda, “Tatkala Allah Swt mencabut ruh orang beriman, Dia meletakkannya pada bentuk badan duniawinya..[4]
  1. Adapun sehubungan dengan nasib apakah yang akan dijumpai manusia setelah kematian harus dikatakan bahwa sejatinya manusia mengalami dua kehidupan dan dua kematian. Al-Quran menyinggung masalah ini dengan menyatakan, “Mereka menjawab, “Ya Tuhan kami, Engkau telah mematikan kami dua kali dan telah menghidupkan kami dua kali (pula), lalu kami mengakui dosa-dosa kami. Maka adakah suatu jalan (bagi kami) untuk keluar (dari neraka)?” (Qs. Al-Ghafir [40]:11) Sebagian ahli tafsir berkata bahwa maksud dari dua kali dimatikan dan dihidupkan pada ayat yang dimaksud adalah pematian mereka pada saat-saat paling akhir kehidupan dunia dan menghidupkan di alam barzakh dan kemudian dimatikan di alam barzakh dan dihidupkan pada hari kiamat untuk perhitungan.[5]
Namun apa yang dimaksud dengan barzakh?
Barzakh adalah batasan pemisah dan penghalang serta perantara antara dua hal (materi dan ruh) dan alam mitsal disebut sebagai alam barzakh karena batas pemisah antara benda-benda katsifah (materi) dan alam arwah non-materi serta batas penghalang antara dunia dan akhirat.[6] Alam barzakh yang juga terkadang disebut sebagai alam kubur dan alam arwah merupakan alam terminal antara dunia dan akhirat. Dalil adanya alam seperti ini disebutkan dalam beberapa ayat al-Quran dan sebagian riwayat dari para maksum.

Dalam beberapa ayat, al-Quran menyebutkan tentang kehidupan barzakh pasca kematian. Misalnya pada ayat yang menyatakan, “agar aku berbuat amal yang saleh terhadap yang telah aku tinggalkan.” Sekali-kali tidak. Sesungguhnya itu adalah perkataan yang ia ucapkan saja. Dan di hadapan mereka terdapat alam Barzakh sampai hari mereka dibangkitkan” (Qs. Al-Mukminun [23]:100) Secara lahir ayat ini mengukuhkan adanya alam seperti ini di antara alam dunia dan akhirat.

Di antara ayat-ayat yang secara lugas menetapkan adanya alam seperti ini adalah yang menyangkut kehidupan para syahid, “Janganlah kamu mengira bahwa orang-orang yang gugur di jalan Allah itu mati, bahkan mereka itu hidup di sisi Tuhannya dengan mendapat rezeki.” (Qs. Ali Imran [3]:169) tidak hanya orang-orang beriman yang memiliki kedudukan tinggi seperti para syahid di alam barzakh, bahkan terkait dengan hukuman bagi orang-orang yang menyombongkan diri seperti Fir’aun dan para pengikutnya juga secara lugas disebutkan dalam al-Quran, " Mereka (Fir’aun dan para pengikutnya) setiap pagi dan malam berhadapan dengan api dan tatkala tiba hari kiamat keluar perintah yang menyatakan supaya Alu Fir’aun (keluarga Fir’aun) dihukum seberat-beratnya.”[7]

Sebagaimana yang telah disinggung, ayat-ayat di atas di samping menandaskan kehidupan barzakh setelah kematian, dengan sedikit cermat kita dapat menemukan bagaimana kehidupan orang-orang saleh dan para pendosa yang dikandung dalam ayat-ayat ini.

Terdapat banyak riwayat yang juga dengan kandungan sama dari para Imam Maksum As yang mencakup penjelasan tentang bagaimana proses kehidupan barzakh seluruh manusia.

Dalam sebuah hadis dari Imam Shadiq As kita membaca, “Barzakh adalah alam kubur yang merupakan ganjaran dan hukuman antara dunia dan akhirat. Demi Allah! Tiada yang kami takutkan akan kalian kecuali (yang menyangkut alam) barzakh.”[8] Demikian juga dalam hadis lainnya dari Imam Shadiq As dalam menjawab sebuah pertanyaan tentang arwah orang-orang beriman, “Mereka berada pada kamar-kamar surga, menyantap makanan-makanan surgawi, meminum minuman-minuman surgawi dan berkata, “Tuhan kami!” Tolong segerakan kiamat dan penuhilah janji-janji telah Engkau berikan kepada kami.”[9]

Namun, alam barzakh adalah kediaman sementara dan persiapan bagi hari kiamat, surga dan neraka abadi. Di alam barzakh tidak akan ditelusuri perhitungan seseorang secara total dan tidak akan keluar hukum dan ganjaran pasti terhadap apa yang telah dilakukan. Di samping masalah keabadian (khulud) yang mengemuka di hari kiamat, bagaimana azab dan ganjaran merupakan salah satu perbedaan dua alam ini.

Al-Quran dalam hal ini menyatakan, “Kepada mereka dinampakkan neraka pada pagi dan petang. Dan pada hari kiamat terjadi (dikatakan kepada malaikat), “Masukkanlah Fira‘un dan kaumnya ke dalam azab yang sangat keras.”” (Qs. Al-Ghafir [40]:46) ayat ini memandang azab orang-orang barzakh adalah api dan azab kiamat masuk di dalamnya. Demikianlah perbedaan antara nikmat-nikmat alam barzakh dan surga.

Sesuai dengan nukilan sebagian riwayat pada alam ini sekelompok orang beriman yang meyakini kebenaran dan melakukan perbuatan dosa di dunia namun tidak memperoleh taufik untuk bertaubat maka ia akan merasakan azab di alam barzakh sehingga dirinya disterilisasi secara total dan memiliki kelayakan untuk memasuki surga abadi.[10]

Sushians, Juru Selamat Akhir Zaman (Berkaitan Dengan Imam Mahdi Dalam Buku Milik Zoroaster)


Dalam buku-buku referensi agama Zoroaster terdapat pernyataan yang tak terhingga berkenaan dengan kemunculan Imam Mahdi as. Mari kita perhatikan pernyataan-pernyataan tersebut di bawah ini:

a. Dalam kitab Zand, salah satu kitab suci agama Zoroaster, dalam pembahasan bahwa kejahatan akan lenyap dan orang-orang saleh akan mewarisi bumi setelah orang-orang lalim terbasmi, disebutkan demikian, “Laskar Ahriman (orang-orang lalim) akan selalu berperang melawan laskar-laskar Izadan (putra-putra tuhan langit), dan pada umumnya, laskar Ahriman selalu memenangkan peperangan itu. Akan tetapi, kemenangan mereka ini tidak sampai dapat membasmikan laskar Izadan. Hal itu dikarenakan pada saat sulit seperti itu, akan selalu datang pertolongan dari Ourmazd tuhan langit kepada Izadan, putra-putranya, dan peperangan mereka ini akan berlanjut selama 9 tahun. Setelah itu, kemenangan besar akan berpihak kepada Izadan dan mereka akan berhasil membasmi laskar Ahriman. Seluruh kekuasaan Ahriman berpusat di bumi dan mereka tidak memiliki jalan ke langit. Setelah kemenangan Izadan dan terbasminya Ahriman, seluruh alam semesta akan mencapai kebahagiaan aslinya dan Bani Adam akan duduk di atas singgasana kesejahteraan.”[1]

b. Di dalam Ghatha, salah satu bagian dari empat bagian kita suci Avesta (pasal 8 dan 9) terdapat beberapa berita gembira berkenaan dengan kemunculan Imam Mahdi as dan kekuasaan beliau  yang mendunia. Revolusi agung beliau ini akan terjadi di akhir zaman sesuai dengan janji-janji para nabi as. Dalam kitab tersebut disebutkan, “Ketika balasan orang-orang yang berdosa ini telah tiba, negaramu pada waktu itu wahai Muzda akan dipimpin oleh Bahman. Umat manusia (pada waktu itu) telah melupakan segala  kebohongan. Kami berharap akan termasuk golongan mereka yang memulai kehidupan baru ini.”.

c. Begitu juga, di dalam Gatha tersebut disebutkan berita gembira tentang kemunculan satu-satunya juru penyelamat umat manusia dalam sebuah pasal yang berjudul “Pagi Hari”. Bunyi berita gembira tersebut adalah “Wahai Muzda, kapankah pagi hari itu akan tiba dan kapankah agama yang sejati akan mendominasi dunia dengan membawa ajaran-ajaran para pembebas yang sangat logis? Siapakah orang-orang yang akan mendapatkan pertolongan Bahman? Untuk memberitahukan hal ini, aku telah memilihmu wahai Ahura-muzda.”.

Setelah menukil kedua berita gembira yang terdapat dalam Gatha tersebut, penulis buku “Besharat-e ‘Ahdain” berkomentar: “Dalam catatan kakinya, penerjemah kitab Gatha menafsirkan Bahman yang telah disebutkan dalam kedua kabar gembira sebagai delegasi Ahura-muzda yang sangat kuat, maha benar dan penuntut keadilan. Berdasarkan hal ini, penjelasan atas kedua cuplikan berita gembira tersebut adalah sebagai berikut:
Di akhir zaman sebelum terjadinya hari kebangkitan universal, orang-orang yang berdosa akan mendapatkan balasan duniawi atas segala perbuatan mereka melalui tangan seorang delegasi kekuatan mutlak, kebenaran, kekudusan dan keadilan Ilahi yang sangat kokoh. Pemerintahan yang penuh dengan kesejahterann ini hanya akan dimiliki oleh orang-orang yang telah meninggalkan segala kebohongan dan melupakan segala tindak kejahatan.

Sungguh masa yang cemerlang itu adalah sebuah pagi hari yang pemerintahan Ilahiah yang benar mulai tumbuh dan agama yang benar ini, agama abadi umat akhir zaman akan mendominasi seluruh dunia. Sebuah agama yang telah memuat seluruh ajaran para nabi, dan satu-satunya delegasi kekuatan dan keadilan Ilahi tersebut akan menyebarkan dan merealisasikan seluruh ajaran salih dan terpuji para pemimpin umat manusia itu.

Jelas bahwa kedua frase tersebut membicarakan tentang kemunculan Imam Mahdi as, meskipun ia tidak menyebutkan nama beliau. Akan tetapi, pemerintahan universal dan keadilan yang mencakup seluruh dunia yang telah diprediksikannya adalah sebaik-baik pertanda atas (pemerintahan) figur agung Ilahi tersebut.” [2]

d. Jamasb memiliki sebuah sebuah buku yang terkenal bernama “Jamasb-nameh”. Buku ini memuat seluruh peristiwa dunia, baik yang telah terjadi maupun yang akan datang. Kitab ini juga menjelaskan biografi para raja, nabi, washî dan para wali Allah. Ketika ia menukil sebuah ucapan Zoroaster tentang para nabi, ia menulis tentang Nabi Islam saw dan pemerintahan Imam Mahdi as yang abadi, serta Raj’ah sekelompok orang yang sudah meninggal dunia ke dunia ini demikian: “Nabi bangsa Arab adalah seorang nabi terakhir yang muncul di antara pegunungan Mekah. Ia adalah seorang penunggang onta dan kaumnya adalah para penunggang onta. Ia makan bersama dengan para hambanya dan duduk sebagaimana layaknya para hamba. Ia tidak memiliki bayangan dan dapat melihat di belakang kepalanya sebagaimana melihat di depan wajahnya. Agamanya adalah agama yang paling mulia dan kitabnya akan membatalkan seluruh kitab-kitab yang lain. Pemerintahannya akan membasmikan seluruh pemerintahan kaum ‘Ajam. Ia akan membasmi seluruh agama Majusi dan kerajaan dan menghancurkan seluruh tempat api penyembahan. (Dengan demikian), masa pemerintahan Pishdadiyan, Kiyaniyan, Sasaniyan dan Ashkaniyan akan berakhir.”.

Setelah itu, ia menulis berkenaan dengan Imam Mahdi as demikian: “Dari anak cucu putri Nabi itu yang dikenal dengan sebutan matahari dunia dan jujungan wanita semesta alam akan muncul satu orang yang akan menjadi seorang raja di dunia ini dengan ketentuan dari Yazdan. Ia adalah pengganti terakhir Nabi itu di dunia ini (Mekah) dan pemerintahannya akan bersambung kepada hari kiamat. Setelah kerajaannya usai, dunia akan berakhir, langit akan tergulung, bumi akan tenggelam ke dalam air, dan gunung-gunung akan sirna. Ia akan menangkap Ahriman yang menentang Yazdan dan selalu bermaksiat kepadanya, lalu ia akan menghukum dan membunuhnya.

Nama agamanya adalah sebuah hujah yang konklusif (qath’i)dan benar. Ia akan mengajak makhluk kepada Yazdan, dan akan menghidupkan makhluk, baik yang baik maupun yang jahat. Ia akan memberi pahala kepada orang-orang yang baik dan memberikan ganjaran kepada orang-orang yang jahat. (Pada masanya), sangat banyak orang baik dan nabi yang akan hidup kembali, dan ia akan menghidupkan sebagian orang-orang yang jahat, para musuh tuhan dan para penentang. Ia akan menghidupkan sebagian raja-raja yang telah membuat fitnah-fitnah di dalam agama dan membunuh hamba-hamba Yazdan yang baik. Ia akan membunuh seluruh pengikut Ahriman dan orang-orang lalim. Nama raja itu adalah Bahram.

Kemunculannya akan terjadi di akhir zaman … Kemunculannya itu akan terjadi ketika kaum Mongol menang atas kaum Persia dan kota-kota Oman hancur karena ulah seorang raja dari ‘Ajam. Setelah itu, ia akan keluar, berperang dan membunuh Dajjal. Ia akan terus menjelajah hingga merebut Konstantinopel dan mengibarkan bendera iman dan Islam di sana. Tongkat merah Nabi Musa menyertainya dan cincin dan mahkota Sulaiman berada pada dirinya. Jin, manusia, hewan, bangsa burung dan hewan-hewan buas akan berada di bawah perintahnya ….

Ia akan menyatukan seluruh agama dunia sehingga agama Yahudi dan Zoroaster akan sirna. Seluruh nabi Allah, orang-orang bijak, putra-putri peri, hewan, bangsa burung, segala jenis binatang, awan, angin dan orang-orang yang bercahaya wajahnya akan berkhidmat kepadanya ….” [3]

Jamasb dikenal dengan julukan orang agung dan bijak dalam dunia sastra Persia dan Arab. Orang-orang Persia dan Arab juga menisbatkan beberapa prediksi kepadanya. Sepertinya, ia adalah seorang bijak yang ahli dalam ilmu perbintangan. Menurut pengakuan penulis buku “Habîb as-Sair”, “Ia adalah murid Lukman dan saudara Goshtasb. Ia memiliki kemahiran yang sempurna dalam ilmu perbintangan.”

Pengarang buku “Besharat-e ‘Ahdain” setelah menukil berita gembira dari buku Jamasb tersebut menulis tentang kehidupannya dalam catatan kakinya, “Para ahli sejarah menulis, ‘Jamasb, saudara Goshtasb bin Suhrab hidup setelah 4996 tahun Nabi Adam turun ke bumi. Selama beberapa waktu ia pernah belajar dari Zoroaster dan juga pernah menjadi murid Chankarmakhajeh, seorang ilmuan berkebangsaan India. Dalam “Jamasb-nameh”nya ia telah melakukan prediksi (tentang masa depan) sejak dari masa ia hidup hingga 5000 tahun mendatang. Kuburannya terletak di Khofrak, Persia.” [4]

Begitu juga dalam buku Jamasb berkenaan dengan pemerintahan makmur Imam Mahdi as, perdamaian yang mendominasi dunia binatang, terbasminya kelaliman dan kebejatan, kemanunggalan pemerintahan dunia, kesepakatan umat manusia untuk memeluk agama Islam, dan bahwa beliau akan mengikuti jalan Islam, agama kakek beliau disebutkan, “Salah seorang dari anak cucu Hasyim akan muncul dari negeri orang-orang ‘Ajam. Ia adalah seorang yang tegap. Ia akan mengikuti agama kakeknya. Ia akan menuju ke Iran dengan bala tentara yang sangat banyak dan menciptakan kemakmuran, serta memenuhi bumi ini dengan keadilan. Karena keadilannya srigala mau meminum dari dari satu air dengan kambing.

Jumlah penduduk dunia akan bertambah banyak dan usia akan bertambah panjang sehingga seseorang dapat memiliki lima puluh orang putra dan putri. Gunung dan padang rumput akan dipenuhi oleh manusia dan binatang layaknya kemeriahan sebuah sebuah pesta pernikahan.

Semua orang akan kembali kepada agama seorang penguji cinta (Muhammad) dan segala bentuk kejahatan akan sirna dari dunia ini sehingga setiap orang akan lupa bahwa ia harus memiliki persenjataan. Jika kuungkapkan segala kebaikan pada masa itu, niscaya kehidupan yang sedang kita jalani ini akan menjadi pahit.” [5]

f. Dalam buku “Bahman Yasht” telah disebutkan tentang kemunculan seorang figur luar biasa yang bernama Sushians (Juru Penyelamat Agung). Berkenaan dengan tanda-tanda kemunculannya ia berkata, “Tanda-tanda menakjubkan akan muncul di langit yang mengindikasikan kemunculan sang juru penyelamat dunia itu. Ia akan memerintahkan beberapa malaikat dari arah barat dan timur untuk menyampaikan pesannya ke seluruh penjuru dunia.”[6]

g. Ketika Goshtasb menanyakan tentang bagaimana Sushians akan muncul dan memimpin dunia, Jamasb Sang Bijak menjelaskan, “Sushians akan menyebarkan agama ke seluruh dunia dan membasmi kemiskinan. Ia akan menyelamatkan Izadan dari tangan Ahriman dan menjadikan seluruh umat manusia satu pemikiran, satu ucapan dan satu perilaku.” [7]

Perlu kami tekankan di sini bahwa keyakinan tentang kemunculan Sushians ini sudah mendarah daging di tengah-tengah masyarakat Persia kuno sehingga ketika mereka mengalami kekalahan perang dan pasang-surutnya kehidupan, mereka selalu menyelamatkan dirinya dari rasa keputusasaan dengan mengingat akan kemuculan seorang juru penyelamat yang kuat tersebut.

Saksi nyata atas realita ini adalah dalam peperangan Qadisiah, setelah Rustam Farrukh-zad, komandan pasukan terkenal itu meninggal dunia, Yazdgerd, raja terakhir dinasti Sasaniyan terpaksa harus melarikan diri bersama seluruh anggota keluarganya. Ketika ia sedang keluar dari istana Madain, sambil memandang balkon istananya yang megah ia berkata kepadanya, “Wahai balkon istanku, salam atasmu! Aku sekarang akan pergi dari sisimu hingga aku akan kembali lagi kepadamu bersama salah seorang putraku yang sekarang belum tiba kemunculannya.”

Sulaiman ad-Dailami bercerita, “Suatu hari aku bertamu kepada Imam ash-Shadiq as. Aku bertanya kepada beliau tentang maksud Yazgerd dari ucapannya “salah seorang putraku” tersebut. Beliau berkata, ‘Ia adalah Mahdi yang telah dijanjikan (kemunculannya) dan al-Qâ`im dari keluar Muhammad yang akan muncul di akhir zaman dengan perintah Allah. Ia adalah putraku yang keenam dan putra dari putri Yazdgerd. Dengan demikian, Yazdgerd adalah ayahnya juga.” [8]

Karena Shahzanan yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan Syahrbanu—menurut riwayat yang terkenal—, ibunda Imam Sajjad adalah putri Yazdgerd, dapat dipahami bahwa ia adalah ayah Imam Mahdi as yang sejati.

Kedubes Israel di Yunani Ditembaki Orang-orang Tak Dikenal


Kedutaan Besar rezim Zionis Israel di Athena, ibukota Yunani menjadi target serangan bersenjata.
Sekelompok orang bersenjata Kalashnikov pada Jumat (12/12) dini hari menembaki Kudubes rezim Zionis di Athena. Demikian diloporkan IRNA mengutip jaringan Euronews.

Serangan tersebut merusak dinding gedung Kedubes Israel dan memecahkan kaca-kaca jendela.
Pasukan polisi Yunani telah dikerahkan ke lokasi insiden untuk melakukan penyelidikan.
Hingga berita ini dipublikasikan, belum ada laporan mengenai kerugian dan kemungkinan jatuhnya korban dalam serangan tersebut. (IRIB Indonesia/RA)

Sejarah Pelacur: Hetairai, Pelacur Athena

Selain cantik, mereka harus berpengetahuan luas dan mahir bermain musik. Mereka menjadi teman para pembesar Athena, Yunani.

SOCRATES, filsuf ternama asal Athena, Yunani, memilih mati minum racun ketimbang hidup mengingkari kebenaran. Pengadilan mendakwanya menyebarkan ajaran yang merusak generasi muda. Sebelum mati, masa hidupnya (470 SM-399) sebagian besar dihabiskan untuk bertanya kepada orang-orang untuk membantu orang lain memperoleh wawasan dan pengetahuan yang benar dengan mencari dan mendapatkannya sendiri. Karenanya metode filsafatnya disebut seni kebidanan (maieutika). Dari kesenangannya bertanya-tanya, dia tak disukai sebagian orang, tapi punya banyak kawan. Salah satu kawan akrabnya, Theodote, seorang hetairai atau pelacur kelas atas masa peradaban Yunani Kuno.

Peradaban Yunani Kuno sering disebut sebagai sumber renaissans (kelahiran kembali) di Eropa Barat pada abad ke-15. Kala itu, buah pikir filsuf Yunani Kuno yang mempengaruhi bidang seni, bahasa, sastra, politik, pendidikan, dan ilmu kembali digali. Peradaban Yunani Kuno sendiri merentang waktu hampir sepuluh abad, sejak 8 SM sampai 4 M. Rentang waktu itu terbagi atas masa arkais (750-500 SM), masa klasik (500-323 SM), masa helenistik (323-146 SM), dan masa akhir antikuitas (146 SM-4 M). Negara-kota Athena menjadi pusat tumbuh-kembangnya peradaban negeri ini.

Peradaban ini, selain melahirkan sejumlah ahli pikir, juga memunculkan hetairai. Berbeda dari perempuan Athena umumnya, hetairai menduduki posisi lebih tinggi dalam masyarakat. Para negarawan dan filsuf menghargai mereka.

Perempuan tak punya banyak peran dalam masyarakat Athena. Mereka juga mendapat pembatasan. Mereka tak boleh menjadi pejabat pemerintahan lokal. Membaca dan menulis tak menjadi kewajiban mereka. Sekolah tak mau menerima mereka sampai masa Helenistik. Bersama para budak dan orang asing, perempuan Athena tak punya pengaruh atau hak-hak sipil. Singkatnya, "Menjadi perempuan pada masa Athena Kuno sangat tak menyenangkan," tulis Jørgen Christian Meyer, guru besar Departemen Arkeologi, Sejarah, Kajian Budaya, dan Agama pada Universitas Bergen, Norwegia dalam makalahnya, "Women in Classical Athens."

Seorang perempuan mesti menjadi hetairai jika menginginkan posisi yang lebih tinggi. Menurut Nikolaos A. Vrissimtzis dalam bukunya Erotisme Yunani, "peran perempuan memang direndahkan, tapi kita juga tak bisa berpikir bahwa posisi mereka tak dihargai." Karena itu, beberapa perempuan, terutama imigran dan budak, berupaya menjadi hetairai di Athena.

Pemerintah Athena tak melarang prostitusi. Hal yang sama terjadi pada wilayah Yunani lainnya. Bahkan seorang negarawan, Solon (638 SM-558 SM), menjadi salah satu germo pertama di Athena. Dia membuka rumah bordil. Pelacur rendahan dari berbagai kota di Yunani tersedia di sana, sebab perempuan Athena dilarang menjadi pelacur. Dari rumah bordil itu mereka bisa menapaki karier sebagai hetairai.

Sebutan hetairai kali pertama tersua dalam Histories karya Herodotus (484 SM-425 SM), sejarawan Yunani Kuno. "Sebutan itu ditujukan untuk Rhodopis (569 SM-526 SM), seorang perempuan asal Thrace (Turki) yang pindah ke Naukratis (Mesir), koloni Yunani Kuno," tulis Rebekah Witheley dalam "Courtesans and Kings: Ancient Greek Perspectives on the Hetairai" tesis pada Universitas Calgary, Kanada. Rhodopis dinilai sebagai hetairai pertama dan terkenal di kalangan pembesar Naukratis.

Untuk menjadi hetairai, seorang perempuan tak cukup hanya cantik. Dia mesti meluaskan pengetahuan mengenai bahasa (puisi), filsafat, dan politik. Dia bisa memperolehnya dari pergaulan dengan tetamunya. Keahlian bermain alat musik seperti flute, tamborin, kastanet, dan lyre juga sangat dibutuhkan. Selain itu, mereka harus mahir menari. Inilah yang membedakan hetairai dengan pelacur rendahan dan selir. Berbekal kemampuan itu, mereka melayani tetamu laki-laki dalam symposia, acara minum anggur dan diskusi khusus lelaki yang diakhiri bercinta dengan hetairai. Aktivitas percintaan mereka dapat dilihat pada guci-guci kuno Yunani.    

Hetairai mencapai popularitas pada masa klasik. "Masa ini dinilai banyak sarjana sebagai zaman keemasan Haeterai. Kebanyakan berasal dari luar Athena, namun hidup bersama lelaki Athena," tulis Rebekah. Beberapa tokoh penting Athena seperti Pericles (orator dan negarawan), Praxiteles (seniman patung), dan Epicurus (filsuf) mempunyai hetairai masing-masing. Yang terkenal adalah Aspasia, milik Pericles. "Socrates sangat memuji kemampuan bicaranya," tulis Nikolaos. Tapi, hubungannya dengan Pericles menjadi gunjingan banyak orang. Sebab, Aspasia bukan orang Athena, sedangkan Pericles adalah pembesar Athena.

Hidup hetairai dilimpahi kemewahan dan keistimewaan. Dengan bayaran mahal mereka memiliki rumah dan budak sendiri. Ini melanggar aturan umum masyarakat Athena yang tak membolehkan perempuan memiliki rumah dan budak. Anak-anak mereka juga mewarisi hak-hak istimewa sang ibu. Meski statusnya bukan sebagai warga Athena, anak-anak itu dapat menduduki posisi sebagai jenderal atau anggota senat. Padahal, aturan tak memperkenankan anak hasil hubungan lelaki Athena dengan perempuan luar Athena memperoleh hak-hak politik.

Sebenarnya, hetairai tak menghendaki kehamilan dari hubungan dengan tetamu. Karenanya mereka berhati-hati dalam berhubungan intim. Beberapa cara seperti sanggama terputus, membaca mantera-mantera, meminum ramuan tertentu, dan memakan telur gagak diterapkan. Tapi, karena banyak dari mereka menjadi selir, kehamilan tak terhindarkan. Bagi masyarakat Athena, selir memiliki fungsi sebagai penghasil keturunan atas persetujuan istri sah. Lelaki Athena memelihara selir karena istrinya mandul atau hanya melahirkan anak perempuan.

Hetairai masih ditemukan hingga masa akhir Antikuitas meski popularitasnya menurun. Bahkan, menyebar hingga luar Athena seperti di Corinth, 78 km barat daya Athena. Di kota ini, para hetairai membangun kuil megah dan luas untuk dipersembahkan kepada Aphrodite –dewi cinta, kecantikan, dan seksualitas. Namun, kuil ini merupakan peninggalan terakhir hetairai. Memasuki abad ke-4 M, Kristen muncul. Peradaban Romawi perlahan terbit dan Yunani Kuno mulai tenggelam. Hetairai dianggap kotor. Dan lambat-laun namanya menghilang meski profesinya tak pernah ditinggalkan.
